The eastern side or east arm of Payette Lake is full of coves and beautiful homes. Located east of Ponderosa State Park (or the peninsula that juts out into the lake) the east arm of the lake mainly consists of private homes and several private group camps. Some of the landmarks on the East Arm are Pilgrim Cove, Tamarack Bay, Harris Cove, Lucks Point and Paradise Point. Pilgrim Cove and Harris Cove are both private homeowner associations located on the east arm of Payette Lake.

Warren Wagon Road runs along the west side of Payette Lake and offers access to many of the properties on Payette Lake and with Payette Lake access. Some of the landmarks on the west side are Crescent Beach, Half Moon Cove, Picnic Point, Sheppard's Point, Sylvan Beach & Point, KP Point, Windy Point and Wagon Wheel Bay. The west side of Payette Lake is mainly comprised of private homes and condos. The Payette Lakes Club and Wagon Wheel Bay Association are located on this side of Payette Lake.

(Subcategory of "On Lake") Situated northeast of downtown McCall and to the west of Ponderosa State Park (the peninsula that juts out into Payette Lake), this stretch includes many neighborhoods and lakefront homes and condos. Some of the landmarks on the West Side of the peninsula are Davis Beach, Mill Park, Duck Bay and Porcupine Point.

Nestled on the south side of Payette Lake is the community of McCall. There are public beaches and parks throughout the town area, making lake access available to everyone. On the south side of Payette Lake there are various vacation rentals including homes and cabins, condos and hotels.

There are many vacation homes that are not located directly on the lake but still have access to shared private beaches and docks through various homeowners associations. The amenities offered vary by association but in general they normally include shared docks and beaches that only members, or their renters, can access.

Located on the east arm of Payette Lake and in Harris Cove, this property and lake access is owned by one individual. Three houses share access to a dock, beach and lakefront sun deck.

Located on the west side of Payette Lake is the Boydstun Beach Association. This association offers lake access to homeowners and registered renters. The Boydstun Beach Association includes a shared beach.

Davis Beach is located on the West Side of the Peninsula/Ponderosa State Park. Davis Beach Access offers a nice sandy beach and a day use dock.

Situated on the east arm of Payette Lake and in Pilgrim Cove, this area offers properties on and near the lake. This association offers lake access to homeowners and registered renters. Pilgrim Cove access includes a shared beach and dock. The dock slips are available on a first come first serve basis and are not always available for overnight moorage.

The downtown area of McCall is located on and near Payette Lake. Many wonderful and unique shopping experiences are available, along with a variety of dining and entertainment. In the heart of downtown you can enjoy lakeside dining, public beaches, shopping, the Manchester Ice and Event Centre and various other wonderful activities. All vacation homes and condos, along with hotels in this category are located within a half mile radius of the intersection of North Third Street and East Lake Street, our best guess for the heart of downtown McCall.

Spring Mountain Ranch is a newer development located on and near the newest nine holes of the McCall Golf Course. This neighborhood is located east of downtown McCall in a wooded area. Spring Mountain Ranch is in a convenient location for access to Payette Lake and all that downtown McCall has to offer, yet in a quiet location. The development offers a year round outdoor hot tub, Ranch House with a fitness room and steam room. During the summer months access to an outdoor swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts is offered. All vacation rentals and homes in this category are located within the Spring Mountain Ranch Development.

The Spring Mountain Ranch Cottages are all located in Cottage Court and therefore are all within easy walking distance of one another and to the Spring Mountain Ranch amenities. The Cottages are great for larger groups needing to split into separate homes because of their closeness to one another, however it should be noted that trailers are not allowed. The development offers a year round outdoor hot tub, Ranch House with a fitness room and steam room. During the summer months access to an outdoor swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts is offered. All vacation rentals and homes in this category are located within the Spring Mountain Ranch Development on Cottage Court.

Located to the east of downtown, the McCall Golf Course is a 27-hole public course. All vacation rentals, including homes and condo complexes, in this category are located on the greens or fairways and vary in distance from the clubhouse.

The lodging properties and vacation rentals in this category are all situated on the banks of the Payette River and offer rooms, suites or units with views of the river.

Rio Vista is a residential subdivision located southwest of downtown McCall. The Rio Vista neighborhood is wooded and some parts reach to the west side of the Payette River. The subdivision is within easy driving distance to Payette Lake and downtown McCall, yet in a quiet location. Some vacation homes in this subdivision have river views and others are located on the Rio Vista Pond. Homes and cabins bordering the pond, have pond access.

This residential community is located on the southeastern side of McCall, near the Payette Lakes Middle School. The neighborhood is in a quiet, wooded area where it is not uncommon to catch a glimpse of a deer or other local wildlife. The Woodlands Subdivision has a common area that features an outdoor seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and a barbecue area.

Located approximately two miles from downtown McCall, Ponderosa State Park is situated on the peninsula that juts out into Payette Lake. There are many recreational offerings at Ponderosa State Park for everyone to enjoy including hiking, mountain biking, resting on the beach, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, identifying wildflowers, nature walks, cross country skiing, snowshoeing or taking in the amazing view at the point of the peninsula. Ponderosa State Park does charge a nominal day use fee for any motorized vehicle entering the park. All vacation properties including cabins, homes and condos in this category, are located within approximately one mile of the entrance to Ponderosa State Park.

The Payette River Subdivision is located out of city limits, southwest of McCall. The subdivision is wooded and some vacation properties are located close to or on the Payette River. Situated in a generally quiet area with nice views and abundant wildlife, the Payette River Subdivision is only approximately 3-5 miles from McCall city limits.
