Following are the XC, Nordic, classic, snowshoe, and snow bike (fat tire bikes) grooming reports for the McCall area (including Donnelly). Reports are provided by each of the areas.

Rental Information for Bear Basin:
We do not offer Nordic or snowshoe rentals. You can rent at several McCall area sports shops. The PLSC offers Nordic lessons. Go to https://payettelakesskiclub.org/bearbasinnordiccenter/#nordicskischool to get more information.
Updated 11/18/2024: Rolled the rail trail this morning, it is thin especially under the trees, hopefully it will freeze up tonight and make for a good base. Looks like Wednesday for more snow but then it warms up.
Updated 4/2/2024: Trails thru heritage were groomed yesterday (4/1/24). With the low snow, we have suspended grooming for the season. Free trail tickets and 1/2 rentals until closing. Starting Monday 4/1, we will begin clearing the golf cart paths. We will be starting along pelican trail and heading south. Stop by Nordic center for updatexs. Last day of grooming and rentals will be Sunday April 7th. As a reminder, no motorized vehicles (snowmobiles, ATV/UTVs, Snow bikes)are allowed on the Nordic trails. We have a groomed snowmobile trail for access from the lake to Tamarack Express. Recommendation would be to use our foothills trails. Know before you go, Early season conditions exist. Please keep off the Golf Course Greens (see grass please stay off).Nordic Center will be open from 8am-5pm daily.
Day passes are Free and can be picked at the Nordic Center located in the Lodge at Osprey Meadows. For additional information please call 208-325-1458.

Rental Information for Tamarack Resort:
Nordic PGK and Snowshoes: $10 1/2 Day $15 Full Day (includes trail ticket). Fat Tire bikes $15 2HR, $25 4 HR, $30 8 HR (limited sizes and availability). Prices do not include taxes and fees. Frist come First Served. We can be located at the new Nordic Center Located in the Lodge at Osprey Meadows. For additional information please call 208-325-1458
Updated 3/24/2024: We groomed skate lanes with the snowmobile on Sunday morning. Expect soft conditions on most trails. Harpers Loop, Upper Hoot, and South Boundary are not groomed and have bare patches. Watch for a few puddles in the meadows and uneven conditions in general. Still some skiing to be had. Come out and get it while it lasts! Today is expected to be our last official day open for the year because of conditions. If we do get a substantial storm this week and things cool down enough, we will reassess! Nordic Center is now open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-4.
Daily ski passes are $6. Additionally, vehicles need to have a state parks passport or pay the MVEF fee daily. Season passes are available for purchase during visitor center hours. An individual pass is $53.00, couples pass is $79.50, and a family pass is $106.00

Cross-country, biking and snowshoe trails are free to use at the Activity Barn. If you would like to use our lift to get uphill the price is $5 for a single ride or 2-hour tickets with lift access are $18. All tubing lanes require a tubing pass. Lift is available for bikes, snowshoes, xc. Season passes are available.

Rental Information for Activity Barn:
Fat bike and Snowshoe and rentals are available at the Activity Barn, Nordic rentals are not. Please rent from our local McCall Area ski shops. Note that tubes are included with all tubing tickets.
