The Diamond D Ranch is Idaho's premier all-inclusive guest ranch, nestled in the Frank Church Wilderness and surrounded by the Salmon River mountains.

They offer several wonderful activities, including: horseback riding, fly-fishing, hiking, gold panning, swimming, and many evening festivities. After an exciting day at the ranch, many of our guests enjoy cracking a window at night and listening to the sounds of the bubbling stream and the wind in the trees from the comfort of their cabin.

The Diamond D Ranch has three two-bedroom cabins (each holding six people), one large four-bedroom cabin (sleeps ten), and two suites. In addition, there is the main lodge which includes 5 individual rooms with either twin or double beds.

All of our cabins and lodge rooms are comfortably appointed. Each are airy, and spacious, inviting the wilderness to join you as you relax and revive your spirit.

We're proud of our fully equipped kitchen and our imaginative menus. A surprising variety of taste tempting meals are served family style in the lodge dining room or at outdoor barbecues. From that first whiff of fresh brewed coffee, bacon and eggs, and hot cakes that almost lifts you out of your bed in the morning, to the freshly baked pies and cakes to finish off your dinner, your tummy is going to have some fond memories of your week at the ranch.

Trail Rides:
Riding offered twice daily, two lunch rides a week, and riding lessons are available upon request. Pack trips: For a trip you will never forget, ask about a custom tailored pack trip into spectacular high country (minimum 3 days). Special rates for groups.

Riding:
The trail rides vary in length and terrain. Morning and afternoon rides are available daily, two lunch rides a week which go to Pinyon Peak (elevation 10,000') and to an old sawmill (historical and very scenic), and an evening ride mid-week. At the beginning of the week every rider is matched with a horse and saddle, based on each guests' experience and comfort level. The guides will have a briefing before the first ride of the week to make everyone feel more comfortable. During the briefing your guides will introduce you to your horse and get your saddle adjusted. Most of the rides are between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. Trail rides are available for those six and older. The guides are happy to lead children under six around the corral. Riding lessons are available upon request.
