General Location: 7 miles south of Grangeville, 7 miles north of Whitebird.
Directions: Traveling south on HWY 95 you will reach the top of White Bird hill and see a sign for Whitebird Summit Lodge and a sign for Historical turnout . This sign is located approximately at mile marker 231. You will turn east at the Historical turnout and you will see the old Hwy 95. Road sign reads OLD W B HILL RD. Take this road 1.1 mile, take your time as the view is breathtaking.

Trail Rides Saddle up and enjoy a trail ride on the LocKey U Ranch. You'll ride out of the lodge and view the Camas prairie and Tolo Lake. Wildlife viewing, breathtaking scenery and relaxation are just a few of the many pleasures you will enjoy on either a full day or half day horesback ride.
Overnight Trips The historic Gilmore Ranch is the perfect getaway for an overnight trip. Located on 450 acres of private land surrounded by federal forest land, deer and elk often can be seen grazing in the meadow directly in front of the cabin where you can enjoy watching them in the mornings and evenings right from the cabin windows! This is an old homestead from the late 1800's and early 1900's. Enjoy the rustic stay in this remote area surrounded by National Forest. You can enjoy hiking, fly fishing in John's Creek, horse trail riding on forest trails, catching butterflies in the open meadows or just relaxing in one of the hammocks.
