Athol, is a small town that is located about 20 miles to the south of Coeur d'Alene. This rural area is home to the very popular Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park! These two sister attractions are located next to each other, giving you lots of summer fun in one location. For the month of October, during the weekend nights, Silverwood hosts as "Scarywood". They transform the amusement park into a fun and scary Halloween theme!
Farragut State Park is also located in Athol, giving you more activities to take part in. At this year-round park, you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and swimming, to name a few for your summer fun. Winter activities here include cross country skiing, snowshoeing and sledding.
There is also an off-road 4x4 park, Twisted Mud 'n Crawl, that offers 50+ acres dedicated to all things mud! This is a great place for you to bring your dirt bikes, ATVs and mudding trucks and have some fun.
Lodging is limited directly in Athol, but we do have some 1-2 bedroom cabins. If they happen to be booked out, then we do work with another hotel that is a short 10 miles from Silverwood, in Hayden.
