From Boise, we arrived at the Sun Valley Lodge at 7:30am on Dec. 17. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day! The folks at the front desk upgraded our room to a Parlor since our room wasn't ready due to our early arrival...(which was fine since we were going to ski for the day and we would store our luggage.) BUT, got this incredible suite overlooking the ice rink & Mt. Baldy! We took the shuttle from the Lodge to River Run and skied all day. The Gondola ride was especially cool! At the end of the day, we rode the shuttle back to the Lodge, and hit the hot pool. In the room, cozy bathrobes & slippers were provided. We hit the hot pool. The hot water felt SO good on our worn-out quads & calf muscles. Also, we couldn't get the fireplace to work. Shuttle took our son to the ski slopes.. We did have some difficulty locating the unit after check-in, even after asking several on-site staff. Otherwise a terrific stay! So easy to book!
