The first place we were given was dark, dingy and musty smelling. It was also as far away from resort as possible which was my first request to be close to the resort. The clean sheets arrived over an hour after I called the front desk (our first night there) about 10:30 p.m. and we had to change them! Calling the front desk for anything but reservations is a challenge and the garbage falling out of the trash cans in front of the lodge the day we left topped it off. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying at the Sun Valley Lodge. There are many other nice places we discovered for accommodations in Sun Valley. We expected our experience to be world-class. In general it was good. We enjoyed the ice skating, bowling, swimming, biking, etc. The beds are super uncomfortable and the service at the restaurants at the lodge are far below average. You couldn't get any service and they seemed understaffed. Overall Ranking out of 5		Comments: Beautiful lodge and fantastic service. The outdoor pool was great to relax in and had cocktail service apres ski. The bar was fun and had live entertainment. Shuttles to the mountain and town were amazingly punctual - every day. Guest room had free internet and a 36" LCD TV with DVD which was cool. Only negative comment was the thin walls. I could hear everything my neighbors said or did through the vents and doorway that interconnected to the next room. It wasn't as if the neighbors were overly loud, just poor soundproofing.
