Blanchard has a rich history in logging and many regional historic sites are named after Blanchard's early pioneers. Blanchard is home to a 650 acre development known as Stoneridge, a golf and recreational community. Blanchard is located on Idaho State Highway 41 and 6.5 miles northwest of Spirit Lake.
