Wallace is a small town with unique shops and museums and access to numerous outdoor recreational opportunities including mountain biking on the Route of the Hiawatha, the Coeur d'Alene Trail, ATV and snowmobile racing, great access to the mountains and historical sites close by including the Cataldo Mission. Wallace, Idaho is a small town but big on charm. Formerly the silver capital of the world, Wallace is one of the only towns where every building is on the National Register of Historic Places. Wallace sits 49 miles east of Coeur d'Alene between two ski and recreation areas, has a variety of bike trails close by including the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes paved bike path, and is easily accessed from I-90.
