Mountain Home, Idaho is somewhat of a desert community located approx. 40 miles southeast of the capital city of Boise. Mountain Home is still a strong agricultural community and is best known as the home of Mountain Home Air Force Base (MHAFB) 366th Fighter Wing. The are offers some great recreational opportunities including Bruneau Dunes State Park (approx. 19 miles south), fishing at CJ Strike Reservoir, snowmobile and ATV trails, over 15 parks as well as hiking and camping.
