The Kootenai River originates in British Columbia's Kootenay National Park where it flows 485 miles into northwest Montana and then to northern Idaho. From northern Idaho it goes back into Canada and eventually joins with the Columbia River. All lodging properties and vacation rentals in this location are situated on the banks of the Kootenai River and offer rooms or suites with views of the river.
