The Whitebird Summit Lodge invites you to their unique guest ranch which is located on seventy acres overlooking White Bird Canyon, the Camas Prairie and the Salmon River basin. Guests will enjoy stunning mountain views, no traffic noise, and a comfortable and exotic lodge. The owners have traveled the world and their memorabilia, stuffed mounts and photos on the wall are fascinating.
Each of the 7 bedrooms have private baths, high quality bedding and towels, and unique decor. Each day begins with a homemade breakfast which may includes Belgium waffles, pure maple syrup, strawberries, whipped cream, specialty blended Northern Blends coffee, herbal teas and fresh fruit. Guests have access to a refrigerator and pantry if they want to bring and cook their own meals.
On the seventy acres you will find an archery range and shooting range for all ages, a fitness trail, areas great for hiking, biking, four wheeling, snowmobiling and horseback riding. Also available for guests to use is an outdoor hot tub, a steam room and a barbecue area. Guests have access to mountain bikes, in room movies, popcorn, snacks and juice at no extra cost.
The LocKey U Ranch and Whitebird Summit Lodge also offer horseback riding and back country trips to the Gillmore Ranch. Whether by foot, horse, boat or just plain relaxing, the adventure you undertake is up to you and is available within miles of the Whitebird Summit Lodge.

The Chief room is one of two rooms (the other is the Warrior Room) located in the Bunkhouse which offers a private entrance on the north end of the Lodge, living room with large rock fireplace, refrigerator, and big screen TV with VCR. This is perfect combination of rooms and privacy for a large family traveling together.
The Chief room contains two sets of bunks, a queen/twin bunk and a twin/twin bunk. Each bed is a feather bed with a heated mattress pad and is topped off with a down comforter. In the bathroom you will find a shower and bathtub along with heated towel racks, a hairdryer and plush robes.
The Mexican Travels Room offers sliding glass doors that open to a private patio with hammock and chairs. Included in the bathroom is a shower along with heated towel racks, a hair dryer and plush robes. This room has one full size bed with memory foam mattress topper, down comforter and heated mattress pad.

"A key factor, not mentioned to me, is that the common rooms in the WBSL are filled with dead animals - 123 heads or whole animals including a cheetah, wolf, entire neck and head of a giraffe, etc. Don't stay here if trophy hunting offends you. The room we stayed in was clean but down at the heels. "
