Lower Salmon River
. Description | Pricing | Photos | Reviews
Join Idaho Guide Service on the exhilarating rapids of the Salmon River Gorge. It is very remote and relatively unknown. The River of No Return drifts through quiet pools and towering canyons, while rushing madly through narrow twisting rapids. There are four seperate canyons: Green, Snow Hole, Blue and Cougar, in this section of the Salmon River is some of the best white water floating in Idaho. You will camp on some of the largest white sand beaches, they are nestled against the mountains and steep cliffs. There are wonderful swimming holes, you can hike the canyons in search of old indian sites and pan for gold. Fish for Trout, Bass, Steelhead, Sturgeon and Salmon in season. The meals include fresh meats, seafood, fruits and veggies - a wonderful variety of outdoor cooking at it's best. These trips are the ultimate in outdoor recreation and camping.

Snake River
. Description | Pricing | Photos | Reviews
Idaho Guide Service, Inc. has been running whitewater adventure trips since 1974, and were the first licensed outfitter on the Middle Snake River. Their experience, reputation, and quality are unmatched. They promise you a FUN, EXCITING, and PROFESSIONALLY RUN adventure on any of their 4 different whitewater trips on the Snake River. The Hagerman Section of the Snake River is located approximately 25 miles downstream from Twin Falls. This is a CLASS 3 trip with plenty of whitewater action and beautiful scenery. This stretch of the Snake is known for its great fishing and plentiful natural springs that flow into the river from the Snake River Aquifer. The Murtaugh Section, 20 miles upstream from town and 2 miles below the Cauldron Linn (Star Falls), is know as one of the premiere day trips in the country. When the water flows in the spring it is a stong CLASS 4 +/5- section of river. With 20 major rapids in 14 miles, the Snake drops an impressive 25 ft. per mile in this deep Basalt canyon. Waterfowl and birds of prey abound as does significant archeological sites of Native people and more recently Chinese, whose mining sites are numerous in this part of the Snake. The Milner Section, starting 8 miles above the Cauldron Linn, the Milner offers a great CLASS 3 introduction to rafting and the Snake River Canyon. History flows like the river with stories of the Oregon Trail and Hunt party. Canyon Springs Section Float the Snake River from Centennial Park to right above Auger Falls. This is a short but very sweet section of the Snake right below town. Great for beginners, but with 4 very exciting rapids CLASS 3 & 4 at the end. The upper part is calm and serene with awesome canyon scenery. You will float through an important local wildlife area that provides habitat for numerous species of game, birds of prey and waterfowl.
