Lava Hot Springs Inn Description:
Experience a piece of history at the Lava Hot Springs Inn, an "old Lava" mainstay with a variety of lodging options, four natural hot springs pools, and a hearty breakfast. The grounds are lovely with a wide expanse of lawn on the banks of the Portneuf River, and guests can walk to downtown Lava Hot Springs to restaurants and shops.
The main Inn is a restored healing place (sanitarium for WWI veterans, hospital and rest home). Each wing of the main inn has 3 basic queen rooms which are across the hall from 2 full baths. There is also a larger king room on each wing with 2-person jetted tub, pedestal sink, toilet, TV and VCR. Breakfast is served daily downstairs in the dining room.
Across the courtyard from the Inn is the new spa building. There are 4 finished rooms upstairs in the spa building. Three of these are king rooms with heart-shaped 2-person jetted tub, pedestal sink, toilet, TV, VCR and DVD. The fourth room is a smaller queen with a deep rectangular 2-person jetted tub, pedestal sink, toilet, TV, VCR and DVD player. These tubs do not have showers. The downstairs interior of the spa building is still being finished into dressing rooms and a relaxation room.
One block away is the Aladdin building with rooms of various size and bedding types, all with private bath and all but the large family room (which has a shower) with jetted tub.
Massage packages are available for a truly relaxing vacation. A guest is welcome to swim after check out time for a fee.
