| More Snow & New Nordic Center Now Open in Sun Valley!!! |

It was a bit of a slow start to our season here in Sun Valley, but now the snow is coming through in spades! I just wanted to let you know that we’ve received over 10 inches of new snow overnight and the snow is still falling! Baldy is enjoying fantastic conditions, and with the opening of Seattle Ridge today there will be even more terrain available to skiers and boarders.
Also, today marks the first day of winter operations at the *NEW* Sun Valley Nordic Center. We’ve gone from a 3,000 sq. ft. building to a 58,000 sq. ft. Nordic facility!

| More Terrain to Open in Sun Valley!! |
Wednesday, December 17, 2008, Sun Valley MORE TERRAIN TO OPEN ON BALDY & DOLLAR SUN VALLEY, ID
Tomorrow, Thursday, December 18, four more lifts will open on Sun Valley’s Baldy and Dollar Mountains, followed by additional terrain on Friday and Saturday, December 19-20. Lifts opening tomorrow on Baldy will be Exhibition #2, Sunnyside #6, and Greyhawk #7. Dollar will open Half Dollar. On Friday, Lower College run will open on Baldy and Dollar Face and New Bowl will open on Dollar. Saturday, Lower River Run’s kinderspielplatz carpet will open for children. Additional storms are forecast for tomorrow afternoon and Friday.

| Gifts of Music - free concerts at Salmon Rapids Lodge |
Thursday, December 11, 2008, Riggins The annual tradition of holiday magic and music continues this December at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. The Gifts of Music series will celebrate the holiday season with two concerts set beside the warm fire and beautiful fir tree in the lodge’s Big Salmon River Room. Refreshments will be served. All programs are 7:00pm to 8:00pm, Mountain Standard Time. MONDAY, DECEMBER 15th: Jared Hallock and Katie Preston will be sharing a unique musical world filled with traditional and non-traditional sounds. In addition to the Marimba the compositions will include the use of cups, body percussion, spoons, electronic percussion, and anything else within reach. Please join Hallock and Preston as they explore the worlds of theater and music creating a unique, eclectic combination of sight and sound. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20th will feature Amy and the Wild Cats. They will perform country hits and Christmas tunes for this holiday program. Ms. Crookshanks sang professionally in Nashville for ten years in the 1980’s. In her unique style she takes some of the all-time favorite country songs and makes them her own. The Wild Cats are Dale James, Whale and Lois Fry. Ms. James is a singer and guitarist from New Meadows who has been and Idaho musician for decades and frequently performs solo. Ms. Fry, known for fiddling around in Riggins with the Susie O’Leary Band, has been playing improvisational violin since the early 1970’s in California, then for the last 21 years in McCall. Whale, an extraordinary stand-up bass player also plays with several groups up and down Idaho. Amy sings the lead and the Wild Cats provide harmonies that make for great renditions of the songs! joinx us!

I just wanted to wish everyone well and send along a few updates from Sun Valley, which is now under a blanket of fresh snow. The season is upon us!
We’re gearing up for opening day on Thanksgiving, November 27, and the white stuff has indeed been falling! We’ve received 11 inches on Baldy since November 4th.
We also have a new run opening on Baldy, Sleeping Bear, which will be anything BUT drowsy! It will be a steep black diamond bump run down the River Run side, with plenty of tree and cliff access for the adventurous types.
